Sixteen years after the release of the groundbreaking film "Rivers and Tides," director Thomas Riedelsheimer returned to work with the artist Andy Goldsworthy. "Leaning into the Wind" follows Goldsworthy on his exploration of the layers of his world and the impact of the years on himself and his art. As Goldsworthy introduces his own body into the work it becomes at the same time even more fragile and personal and also sterner and tougher, incorporating massive machinery and crews on his bigger projects. Riedelsheimer’s exquisite film illuminates Goldsworthy’s mind as it reveals his art. Rated PG, 97 minutes. 3147210072

Two very different people meet in a hospital. Sarah has just received news of her partner's motorcycle accident and rushed out of her office, cell phone in hand. Word has also reached Pedro, the hospitalized man’s good-natured motorcycle buddy. For Sarah, Pedro and his motorcycling pastime embody a naïve, nonsensical way of life, which she rejects. Meanwhile, Pedro wonders why Sarah keeps receiving secret urgent messages from her employer. The ensuing collision of lifestyles and values touches on larger issues of risk and security, individual freedom, and social responsibility—all with vivid dialogue in an intriguingly theatrical frame. 314-533-0367

Spirits to Enforce’” is from Shakespeare’s THE TEMPEST, from Prospero’s poignant final lines - “Now I want Spirits to Enforce, Art to Enchant”. They’ve finally imprisoned their arch nemesis, Professor Cannibal, and are keeping the City safe from fanged, venomous, ambulatory whales. And now the Fathom Town Enforcers have taken residence in a secret submarine, and are undertaking the most critical work of their crimefighting mission - fundraising. Their Plan? They’re getting ready to present a “Superheroic” benefit performance of THE TEMPEST. Directed by Lucy Cashion. A Midnight Company production. 314.799.5910
